The terms that apply when you use the Salgado’s website.
Updated 16 September 20261. About these terms
These terms concern use of the Salgado’s Quality Foods website. “Salgado’s”, “we” and “us” refer to the business operating under that name. The website presents our snack range, points visitors towards independent retailers and provides contact channels.

Read these terms alongside our Privacy Policy. These are website-use terms, not online shop terms: this website does not accept orders, process payments, arrange deliveries or create customer accounts.
2. Responsible use
You may browse, share links to and use the website for lawful personal and business enquiries. You must not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with operation or security, distribute malicious code, impersonate another person, misuse someone else’s information or submit unlawful, threatening, abusive or fraudulent material.
Do not automate unsolicited messages, bypass submission limits or place an unreasonable load on the website. Access or submissions may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect the site, its users or legal rights. If a legitimate enquiry is blocked, contact us by email or telephone.
3. Product information and nutrition claims
We aim to keep descriptions, pack images, sizes and claims accurate. Recipes, packaging, the range and availability may change. Images may illustrate a serving suggestion, and screen colours may differ from the physical product. A listing does not guarantee stock at any retailer or branch.
Read the label on the product you purchase for current ingredients, allergens, nutrition, serving sizes, storage and preparation instructions. Website badges summarise the specified product’s pack claims; they are not independent certification marks. Do not assume a claim for one flavour or format applies to another.
“Low fat” and an amount of fat “per serving” are different claims and must be read in their stated context. A per-serving amount depends on the pack’s serving size. Website information is general product information, not individual dietary or medical advice. Contact us before relying on information that is unclear or inconsistent.
4. Independent retailer purchases
Retailers determine their own stock, prices, promotions, ordering, payment and delivery arrangements. A retailer logo or link does not create a sale through this website, guarantee availability or authorise us to bind the retailer.
Direct order, payment, delivery, cancellation and refund enquiries to the retailer involved. You may also contact us about product quality or safety. Nothing here limits rights or remedies against a retailer, manufacturer, importer, distributor or other party under applicable consumer law.
5. Product concerns
Contact us with the product name, flavour, pack size, batch number, best-before date, place of purchase and a description of the issue, where available. Keep the packaging and proof of purchase if possible. Relevant photographs or further details may be requested to investigate.
Do not consume a product you reasonably believe is unsafe. Seek appropriate medical assistance for an urgent medical concern rather than waiting for a website response. The contact form is not an emergency service. Contacting us does not prevent you from exercising statutory rights or approaching a regulator, ombud or court.
6. Content and intellectual property
The Salgado’s name, logo, packaging, photographs, illustrations, design and written content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights held by their owners or licensors. Retailer names, logos and third-party marks remain their respective owners’ property.
You may view the site and save or print reasonable extracts for personal reference or a legitimate enquiry, keeping ownership notices and avoiding misrepresentation. Commercial reproduction, redistribution, alteration or use of branding requires the relevant rights holder’s permission unless permitted by law. These terms do not restrict lawful statutory exceptions.
Contact us for permission or to report suspected infringement, identifying the material and the basis of your concern.
7. Messages and communications
Provide accurate contact details and relevant information. Only share another person’s information where lawfully entitled to do so. Do not submit confidential business proposals or sensitive information unless an appropriate way to receive it has been agreed.
A form success message means the email service accepted the message for sending. It does not guarantee inbox delivery, a response time, stock or acceptance of an order or proposal. An enquiry alone does not form a supply agreement or appoint a stockist. Commercial arrangements must be agreed separately by authorised representatives.
The Privacy Policy explains enquiry handling. Sending a message does not subscribe you to marketing.
8. External websites
Retailer, map and social media links are provided for convenience. Those services operate independently under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their content, security, availability or transaction processes. A link is not a guarantee of their service or a waiver of your statutory rights.
9. Availability and responsibility
We take reasonable care with the website, but errors or interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical faults or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Content may be corrected or updated and features modified or discontinued. Contact us about errors or information you cannot access.
To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access or accept responsibility for loss caused solely by independent third-party services, misuse of the site or events beyond our reasonable control. Responsibility remains subject to applicable law and the circumstances of a claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, gross negligence or applicable product liability, or waives rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, POPIA or other applicable law. Mandatory legal protections take precedence over conflicting terms.
10. Law and dispute resolution
South African law governs these terms. Contact us so we can try to resolve a concern. This does not remove access to a competent court, regulator, ombud or other lawful remedy and does not impose compulsory arbitration.
An unlawful or unenforceable provision applies only to the extent legally permitted; the remaining provisions continue where they can operate independently. A delay in enforcing a right does not, by itself, waive it.
11. Updates
These terms may change as the website or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the displayed version. Changes apply prospectively and do not retrospectively remove accrued rights or vary a separate agreement. Any notice or agreement required by law remains necessary.
For questions about these terms, contact us using the details above.
